About Me

David Spencer

Web designer

I love writing html and css. Adding some flair with Photoshop is also a passion of mine.

I am a graduate of Southern Cross University and looking for work as a web designer. I currently have a small sole trading business as a web designer but I am looking for a permanent full time position. My current projects include jessicanash.com.au and Park Avenue Florist if you'd like to take a look at them.

I was a web developer/designer at The Salvation Army in Sydney. I worked on their in-house built cms building themes. An example of my work can be seen at Nambucca River Church. (This theme is not my design, I sliced it in Photoshop and coded it in HTML, CSS, Javascript (jQuery) and PHP.)

I have also freelanced for a small web design group called Web Graffiti. It gave me the chance to work on large websites. These sites included ABC Driving School and Dunn and Farrugia. I created and edited pages within the Joomla! content management system. I also edited css for these Joomla! sites to customise them to the clients needs.

Playing with Sealed Section at Nambucca River Festival 2014

Musician

I've been a musician since high school. Predominantly a guitarist I also play piano, bass guitar and drums. I led, played guitar and sang for the Youth Band at NRC (Nambucca River Church) for a number of years. I have also been a member of the Salvo Country Band for quite a few years. I play keyboard but also fill in for other members when not available. During my time with the Salvo Country Band we have recorded several records: "Home Again", "God on the Mountain", "Christmas in the Country" and "Go Light Your World". More recently I formed a band with a couple of fellow musicians. The band is called Sealed Section. We play covers from the 80s to now and are looking to play at local pubs and clubs in the Nambucca Valley.

Family

My wife and I live in Gumma, a small village 5 minutes east of Macksville, Australia. Macksville is on the pacific highway about halfway between Sydney and Brisbane.

We have a daughter and son who keep us busy and laughing. We need both of these from time to time.
